There is a persistent gap between what a farmer produces and what a buyer can independently verify. That gap is filled today by paper, phone calls, and trust — none of which travel well across provincial borders or survive a dispute.
Paper-based provenance is fragile. A bill of lading gets wet, a scale ticket gets lost, a handshake is remembered differently by two people. The record that should anchor a transaction is often the weakest part of it.
Immutability matters more than intelligence. A record that cannot be changed after the fact is worth more to a farmer than any dashboard that claims to predict what comes next. AgriFortress is built on that conviction.

A representative example
Grain from Lethbridge to a mill in Steinbach.
A canola producer near Lethbridge, Alberta records a 40-tonne load at the bin. The entry captures the date, weight, grade, and origin field — entered by the producer, confirmed by a second person on site.
The receiving mill in Steinbach, Manitoba confirms arrival and grade on delivery. Both parties receive a signed receipt — the same record, the same hash, independently held.
Payment settles against the confirmed record. Neither party needs to trust the other's paperwork. The record is the paperwork.
