Two farms. One shared supply chain.
This is not a hypothetical. Misty Meadows Organics produces certified organic eggs. Grace Harbor Goat Dairy handles joint logistics and distribution. Both farms needed a way to record what moved, when, who confirmed it, and what settlement followed — without sharing more than necessary.

How a single shipment moves through the registry.
Capture
The record starts at the farm gate.
When Misty Meadows packs a shipment of eggs, the producer creates a registry entry: quantity, grade, date, and origin. No third party is involved at this stage. The data is captured and held pending confirmation.
Human confirmation
Grace Harbor confirms receipt.
When the shipment arrives at Grace Harbor, a person at the receiving end confirms what was delivered. This is a deliberate human step — not an automated sensor or API handshake. The confirmation is logged against the original record.
Signed receipt
An immutable record is written.
Once both sides have contributed their data, the registry writes a signed receipt. This receipt cannot be altered. It records what was sent, what was confirmed, by whom, and when. It is the authoritative record of that transaction.
Settlement handoff
The record hands off to QuickBooks.
The signed receipt triggers a settlement record that flows into QuickBooks. Neither farm needs to reconcile manually. The accounting entry is derived directly from the confirmed registry data — not from a separate invoice or spreadsheet.
What each party sees — and what they don't.
Misty Meadows can verify that Grace Harbor confirmed the shipment. Grace Harbor can verify the origin and quantity. Neither party needs to expose their full books, pricing relationships, or downstream buyer list to the other. The proof travels with the product. The data stays where it belongs.
Verified without disclosure. Auditable without opening everything.
Where this stands today.
The Misty Meadows and Grace Harbor arrangement is an active development use case. The end-to-end flow — from farm gate capture through QuickBooks settlement — is being built and tested with both farms. We are not claiming a completed deployment. We are building it in the open, with real farms, real products, and real logistics.
